Come to a place where time slips by unnoticed. A place where water, sunshine and cloudless skies form a seamless horizon. Time stands still. This is the North Shuswap.


Gateway Lakeview resort is a 70 acre beachfront resort community which offers spectacular view lots, ideal recreational vehicle lots, and custom designed cottages for you to choose from. Phase 1 consists of 200 lots, 100 recreational vehicle lots and 100 cottage lots. There will be a limited release of cottage lots based on functional design. The ever popular recreational vehicle lots are now 90% sold.

Future phases include plans for an outdoor pool, fitness centre, and a village-style service area inclusive of a restaurant, showers, and laundry facilities.

How to get here

The Squilax-Anglemont Road is approximately 12 kilometers East of Chase, and approximately 12 kilometers West of Sorrento. Follow the curve of the road to the right, over the Adams River. Look for the big Gateway Lakeview Resort sign 1.4 kilometers past the Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park.

From BC

From Vancouver follow Highway #1 East, take the Coquihalla highway to Kamloops and continue east on Highway #1, past Chase to the Squilax-Anglemont Road. Approximately a 5 hour drive.

From Alberta

From Calgary take Highway #1 West, through Revelstoke and Salmon Arm to the Squilax-Anglemont Road. Approximately a 5 hour drive.

From Washington State

Take Highway #97 North to Osoyoos, continue on to Kelowna and Vernon. At this point you can choose either Highway #97 West to meet up with Highway #1 and then east to the Squilax-Anglemont Road or Highways #97A & B to Salmon Arm and then Highway #1 West to the Squilax-Anglemont Road.




Shuswap lake offers a large expanse of sandy beaches and sparkling waters which provide a perfect playground for water sports enthusiasts and anglers. Numerous marine and provincial parks follow the shoreline from Lee Creek to the end of Seymour Arm. Enjoy an afternoon outing at one of the smaller lakes - Adams Lake, Little Shuswap, or Mara Lake. Follow the hiking and biking trails along the Adams River to witness the world renowned salmon spawning in Autumn. On a four year cycle the river is teeming with salmon, luring visitors from around the world to witness this natural spectacle.


If you are a winter sports enthusiast, this area is just the spot for you. At the nearby Sunpeaks Resort you can enjoy world class skiing and snowboarding. Snowmobile trails abound, including the popular Crowfoot Mountain Trail just north of Celista. Cross-country ski trails are readily available at Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park and surrounding areas. Don your winter gear and head for the trails!



With more than 1,000 Kilometres of shoreline, the branches of the Shuswap Lake system are a paradise for boaters. If you do not have a boat of your own, consider renting a houseboat, joining a charter tour, or taking a sailboat cruise at sunset. For the more adventurous, try white-water rafting down the Adams River.

With more than twenty lakes, rivers, and creeks, this area boasts an abundance and variety of fish to challenge the novice or the advanced angler.


If golf is your game, you have come to the right spot. Excellent courses abound in Anglemont, Eagle River, Mara Lake, Salmon Arm, Shuswap Lake Estates and the newly opened Talking Rock Course on Little Shuswap Lake. Children are bound to enjoy the “Family Fun Centre” in Scotch Creek, offering two courses of mini-golf.


At Rock Ridge Haig-Brown Provincial Park you will find great hiking trails. Albas Falls and St. Ives are only a short hike or boat ride away.

Wine Tours

Check out the three excellent wineries in the area, one near Salmon Arm and two near Tappen.

Roots and Blues Festival

Salmon Arm plays host to three days of music and frivolity at the Roots and Blues Festival in late August.

Live Theatre

Get caught up in the drama by attending live performances at the Shuswap Theatre in Salmon Arm.

Native History

The Squilax Pow Wow Grounds, across from the Little Shuswap River, is the site for the Squilax Pow Wow. This July event includes a competition of more than four hundred dancers from Western Canada and the United States.


The RJ Haney Heritage Park & Salmon Arm Museum are part of a forty-acre heritage village. The original relocated buildings include a schoolhouse, church, blacksmith shop and more. During July and August you can enjoy Dinner Theatre at this historic site.


There are other cultural events in the area including craft and farmer’s markets, galleries, Shuswap Lakes Festival of the Arts, and the Swing & Bluegrass Festival.
